Malwarebytes turns off internet access

A computer using Malwarebytes (premium version) would not access the internet, even though the icon indicated there was local & internet access.

No web pages would open - no programs requiring internet usage would open.

The computer came up in Safe Mode, so I started looking for programs that were not running there, that were running in normal mode.

After going thru various tests, it appears that Malwarebytes was the problem.  

We uninstalled Malwarebytes and even without rebooting, the web pages could immediately be accessed.

 

Would a COMPLETE removal (including the registry entries) then reboot and reinstall, allow Malwarebytes to be used again?

The logs indicate the computer may be infected or have items left over from a previous infection. It also shows that you're running an older version of MBAM.

I would suggest following the advice from the topic here Available Assistance for Possibly Infected Computers and having one of the Experts assist you with looking into your issue.

Basically copy your same logs into a new topic in the malware removal forum and wait for someone to assist you further.
