Can't even install Malwarebyte

Hello,

 

I am trying to download the free version of malwarebytes from malwarebytes.org, with just one single click on the "DOWNLOAD FREE VERSION" button, 3 copies of mbam-setup-2.18.1057 are downloaded.  When I try to install it, it automatically selects the catala version no matter how many times I change it back to English, it is back to catala version.  I don't know what else I can do from here, it's so creepy.  The volume control won't let you touch it, it will go all back up in front of your eyes.  Very creepy.  

Does anyone have any clues as why catala version is taking control?  Thanks.

Your description seems to indicate the system is infected and malware removal actions are not permitted in this sub-forum.
 
I recommend following the advice from the topic: Available Assistance for Possibly Infected Computers and have one of the Malware Removal Experts assist you with your issue.
 
If, as recommended, you do open a topic in Malware Removal Help, please make reference to this thread.
 
If you would like to get off to a very fast start, the Malware Removal Experts would appreciate it if you would also Copy and Paste (not attach) both the FRST.txt and the Addition.txt output diagnostic reports from only Log Set 1 into your new topic. Please do not tick, nor untick, any pre-configured FRST categories.
