Cannot load free version of 2.1.8 on xp

I have used malwarebytes for years.

 

I cannot get the free version to load on either of my xp machines.  I see other people are having the same issue with no resolution.

 

They both run XP SP3

 

1) Machine #1 during update of 2.1.6 identified a new version.  Installed it but received professional.  Ran mbam removal tool.  Tried to install a clean version and it is the professional version.

 

2) Machine #2.  Thought maybe it was better to remove malwarebytes so I ran the mbam removal tool.  Reinstalled and got the professional version.

 

On both tries I unchecked load the free trial version.

There is no difference between the Free and Premium version as far as the physical look. The paid Premium version though will add automated updates, scanning as well as live protection modules. How do you know that it is installing a Premium version? Can you please show me a screen shot as well as run the following and post back the logs.
