Malwarebytes icon disappears from Taskbar

It seems that everytime Windows Vista does an update, the Malwarebytes icon disappears from the Taskbar. Should I reinstall Malwarebytes when this happens, or is there a simpler solution?

Sorry - it appears that your post may have been inadvertently overlooked.

 

MBAM version 2 minimizes to the Windows "system tray" or "notification area" (on the lower right of the display, near the system clock).

It does not normally minimize to the Windows "taskbar" (on the lower left of the display, near the start orb/button).

 

However, there is a known, reported issue with version 2.1.8.1057 on SOME systems with SOME settings, in which MBAM does open minimized to the taskbar.

This is a bit of a bug that should be fixed with a future program version.

 

So, if you are still having a problem, let's start here:

• Please follow the steps in this pinned topic to uninstall your current version of MBAM and reinstall the latest build - MBAM Clean Removal Process 2x
• If that does not correct the issue, then please read the following and attach to your next reply the 3 requested logs - Diagnostic Logs (the 3 logs are: FRST.txt, Addition.txt and CheckResults.txt)
