Runs fine then freezes

A desktop PC from 2009 may have a heavy accumulation of dust.  This dust layer can inhibit cooling.  The PC runs until the temperature is too high and then the system may lock-up.

The suggestion is to open the chassis and examine the interior.  If there are "dust blankets" around the CPU cooling fins and power supply then the first thing to do is clean the interior of all "dust blankets".

There are other causes where a system may lock-up which can include the RAM, power supply and chips on the motherboard.  However mitigating "dust blankets" is the first thing to do.

In addition to all of the excellent advice already offered, it would greatly assist us if we could see some basic logs with some basic system info, please. :)

To do that, please read the following and attach to your next reply the 3 requested logs - Diagnostic Logs (the 3 logs are: FRST.txt, Addition.txt and CheckResults.txt)

They will augment the information @David H. Lipman and the other helpers are collecting...

Thanks,
