Hello and :welcome: :

If rebooting the computer does not resolve the issue, let's start with routine troubleshooting:

  • Please follow the steps in this pinned topic to uninstall your current version of MBAM and reinstall the latest build - MBAM Clean Removal Process 2x-- it's important to reboot when prompted by the removal tool and it's a good idea to reboot again after reinstalling.
  • If that does not correct the issue, then please read the following and attach to your next reply the 3 requested logs - Diagnostic Logs (the 3 logs are: FRST.txt, Addition.txt and CheckResults.txt)
  • NOTE: More info about v2.2.0 HERE; User Guide ONLINE; User Guide PDF; FAQ: Common Questions, Issues, and their Solutions

Please let us know how it goes.

Thanks,

Are the responses/steps here still valid? I have the same problem and would like to try them. Thank you. Walt

Hello and Welcome!

Normally were prefer that everyone start their own topic as everyone's computer is different, that being said, yes the steps above in post #2 above are still valid.

Try those steps and if it does not resolve your issue, come back and start your own topic with the requested logs.

Thanks for understanding...

I have had this problem for a while and have finally resolved it for my particular system.

I am running Windows 7 64bit

Turns out that I did not have Windows Firewall enabled - it had become disabled somehow.

Once the Windows Firewall was set to work, the Malicious Website Protection could be enabled.

YMMV
