Malwarebytes reports many false positives with our software products.

How do we join your whitelist program to overcome this issue?

We have been speaking with William R. but he is too focused on a single false positive (i.e. one issue) and not how we join your whitelist program, as we have with all other antivirus vendors who provide us with a login and/or FTP site to upload our .exe's for their definitions.

Thank you.

Hi Futurecorp,

Welcome to Malwarebytes!

It can be difficult following false positive reports from multiple users in one thread..

Please start your own thread along with the information requested as described here:

https://forums.malwarebytes.org/index.php?/topic/3228-please-read-before-reporting-a-false-positive/

Once the logs/files have been posted, we will analyze the files.

Thanks!

It seems no one is listening or understanding at Malwarebytes  we do not use your software but our clients do, and they are experiencing many false positives  and we need to join your whitelist program to upload all our .exes (of which there are dozens) for these to be cleared, as we do with ALL the major antivirus companies that we have had no issue with in achieving this.

Please direct me to your whitelist program or FTP site with a username and password  :D

Thank you,

Hello,

We do not have a whitelist program in the way you describe.

We do have procedures & preventions in our back end to help prevent/lessen the number of false positives but we do not have vendors upload files they wish to be whitelisted.

If some of your clients are seeing false detections by our product on your program(s), please direct them to this site where they can follow the instructions for attaching MBAM logs & a zipped copy of the file(s) being detected.

https://forums.malwarebytes.org/index.php?/topic/3228-please-read-before-reporting-a-false-positive/

Once we have logs/files, we can deal with any resulting false positive issues.

Thank you.

That is beyond extraordinary. We partner with scores of antivirus companies all over the globe who all provide a whitelist program to prevent these very issues.

Perhaps you should consider setting this up as false positives create tangible and very real losses for both your customers and us and we live in a very litigious world  :o

Hi futurecorp,

We are not a traditional Antivirus. We don't work with whitelists in our engine where we already white files.

As Tammy explained, We do have procedures & preventions in our back end to help prevent/lessen the number of false positives - so please send us the samples, so we can analyse them and add to our FP Prevention system.

I'll send you a private message where to mail your "white files" to, so they can be analysed and added to our FP Prevention system.
