Eusing Free Registry Cleaner

loophole

Recommended Posts

Just wondering why Eusing Free Registry Cleaner is listed as a rogue application in the new update. I have used this application for a couple of months now without any problems. I have done scans with AVG AntiSpyware, SUPERAntiSpyware, Spybot, and AntiVir. I haven't noticed it do something malicious or a notification from Zone Alarm about it seeking permission to access the internet. If there is something malicious about this program, please let me know! :D

It was submitted by one of our members as an application that produced false positives. Its by far not one of the worst ones out there. If you like it, feel free to use it, but make sure it does not delete anything legit.

It doesn't look to bad, I might consider an evaluation when I have some time. :D

I'm the author of Eusing Free Registry Cleaner. My website is http://www.eusing.com. Thanks John for telling me the message. Eusing Free Registry Cleaner allows you to safely clean and repair registry problems with a few simple mouse clicks. For maximum safety, it will make a backup of the repaired entries. You will be able to restore any changes made using the software by choosing Restore registry backup. My software are all free of spyware and adware. They don't send out any spam. There are not any call function about sending spam.

Eusing Free Registry Cleaner is a freeware product, this means that users can download and use it for free. Anyway we will appreciate contributions: we will use collected money to finance new development of Eusing Free Registry Cleaner. After registering, a registration code would email to user. Their name will display on About window. But if user don't want to donate it, they can also use it freely. Just click 'Skip' button to close the hint dialog and they can use the software without any limitation. So my software have a hint dialog when starting. There are no any dialog pop up when running. I think it had nothing to do with spyware.

Please the author test my software and confirm these.

Have New Year.

Eusing, I appreciate your concern that your program is actually listed as rogue. You have to understand that there are many untrustful applications in the world, some more obvious then others. Your application WILL be retested by me personally, you have my word. I received your e-mail and you will receive one back from me shortly. I am sorry for any inconvenience this has caused, and I am sure we can work out a solution.

I'm sorry but we can not delete Eusing Free Registry Cleaner from the database.

1) It fails inspection with www.siteadvisor.com

2) Users reported spam e-mail sent to the e-mail they provided to register.

3) The program has a nag screen, yet it is freeware. Poor business practice.

4) Many legit items detected on a clean build of Windows XP. Perhaps false positives.

1) My website is list red as it links some red download website. I removed these red links on 2006/12/26 and SiteAdvisor told me they will change it after 3 weeks.

2) I never sent any spam to any user. I'm just a software author. Why did i send the spam to users? Can anyone help me to find a method to certify it?

3) Yes. My software had a nag screen which you said poor business practice. If you judge my software as spyware depend on this, i don't know how to explain spyware.

4) Any software will have some flaw or default as there are million of computer and they installed different software. So we provide the backup of the repaired entries. There are many registry cleaner software and every excellent one had backup function. Don't they have mistake scan?

But I like the kind reaction of eusing. I feel he is trying to remedy any problems that could qualify his program as rogue.

If all those problems are resolved then we, as RogueRemover, have reached our aim and Eusing Free Registry Cleaner could be removed from detection and removal from RogueRemover.

The best way is to wait for SiteAdvisor to change its view.

First off, your software is not considered spyware, it is considered 'rogue'. Meaning it either distributes malware, it is an untrustful company, it spams, it tries to trick the user into buying the product (false positives) and it advertises.

My main concern with your product arose when a user attempted to register your program. Shortly after that e-mail address was spammed.

A small hint. Do not call this software freeware as it contains a nag screen which you can not disable. This is called shareware, the software costs an amount of money to fully remove any crippled part of it (ie. the nag screen).

The EUsing's ISP is now in my firewall blocking rules as I don't want anything from China especially spam and phishing attempts :D

01/Jan/2007 05:19:06 EUsing blocked; Out TCP; localhost:1932->66.116.228.68:80; Owner: C:\PROGRAM FILES\INTERNET EXPLORER\IEXPLORE.EXE

eusing, the compiler for your applcation is either a cracked or a warez version which has a built in spamming function that sends the registration email address to someone in China who then proceeds to send out spam and phishing attempts :D and probably sells the email address as a further bit of profit B)

I have those mail address of register user. But they register my software to support the new development. They donated $15 to us. If i sold their email as YoKenny62 said, how much about one email address? Did YoKenny62 register my software? If you register and receive the spam, can you send your email address to 'RubbeR DuckY'(the administrator of this website) and tell me. I will ask my agent eMetrix to send mail to other register user to inspect. If you didn't register my software, how can you censure my software?

Um, out of curiosity, how did you figure that out?

Experience!

Spammers/scammers are hiring smart programmers to build email gathering applications so that they can spread their sewage to a much wider audience because the anti spammers/scammers are having an effect on the bottom line of the spammers/scammers.

We are talking Big Bucks here!

The same is happening in the malware infestation area as the malware purveyors want to get their sewage in-your-face to drive their pay-per-click cash cow. :D

I'll post the headers of the spam I receive here in this topic and if you don't know how to read email headers I will annotate the header lines with what they mean :D

I still only claim YoKenny62 send your email address to 'RubbeR DuckY'. So we can ask my agent eMetrix to verify. If you didn't paid money from eMetrix, I can not get your email address. So this is a method can certify my behavior. Every wrote there can be edited, so i can not make sure the email header you want to post is edited.

Why would he give you your e-mail address if it is already being spammed enough?
I'm not sure I understand the question.

All I know is that I have NOT received ANY spam at my Sympatico registration email address since Jan 2nd '07 :D

  • 3 weeks later...

I've tested Eusing Free Registry Cleaner, though it did a good job; I'm afraid it did a bit too good of a job cleaning. It has caused some software I had installed to lose functionality. One such software is IZArc, it broke the right click context menu. When I'd try to extract anything with it it would do nothing at all.

That is not HIS internet service provider, that is only his webhost. Kenny may have been sarcastic or may have the spam is being sent from a chinese host. Just trying to clarify. I have heard a few people complain about this spam issue, but the number has been going down. It still broke your computer however there are backups for that reason.
