  1. Well..thanks, guys...hoepfully I won't have a dufas moment again for a while Have a good one!!
  2. Buttons.... thank you...I took a look and feel like a dufas for not noticing that...thanks for the heads up .... Advanced Setup & Fivealive...sorry 'bout that, dudes...my bad ...and again...thanks so much to you both for all your help.
  3. forum deity & true member ...thanks to both of you... FD...I went ahead and checked out my folder options as suggested by TM...and that did the trick...now when I open a photo folder I get thumbnails and not those generic icons...so, looks like problem solved... I would never have thought about that. If you, FD still think you should check out those logs I saved to my Desktop, please let me know and I'll attach them for you...I'll keep them saved until I get another reply from you. This is such a great forum...thanks so much, guys.
  4. I have both files saved to my Desktop...but I don't know how to get them here for you to see...please explain this proceedure for me...thanks (I did a search for how to, but came up blank)
  5. Thank you so much your time and patience to get me through this is much appreciated...
  6. As far as I know...yes, all photos. I'll check that asap, though.
  7. Thanks, Samuel...I don't have my passwords or things like credit card #'s or SS number in any files...they are on whatever web site they belong to...like my online bank account info...you'd have try logging into that particular site...so, guess I can breath easy.
  8. I don't know how better to explain what I'm seeing...my photos are in My Pictures and I use Picassa, the photos are there too...I can preveiw any photo and see it just fine...but, if I go to add a photo as an attchment and I open the folder, all I see is that generic icon with a picture of trees and sort of mountains...I have to use preview to see what the photo is rather than have the actual photo there to see...I hope that made some sense...what's going on? How do I fix this? Thank you very much.
  9. Maybe they figure since it's an older version, you guys wouldn't care...NOT!! Glad I didn't get scammed...ya know, I'm from Brooklyn, NY...I was affraid I was losing my NY edge !! They seemed genuine when I was on the phone with them...then after it all, I got a little parinoid...can you maybe tell me something, Samuel...when 'they', including your paid support service...get into someones computer via remote access, can 'they' 'see' your private stuff, like passwords, credit card info...stuff like that? Thank you
  10. If the outfit I posted (Advanced Tech Support) is using an old version of MB...without permission, sounds to me like your legal dep't should check into it...why would they even be using an old version of MB... I guess you are not sure about Advanced Tech Support's reputation...as to wether or not they are a legit service... do you think that maybe they (ATS) actually put out that fake security program that I got so they could help me get rid of the nasty things I got from that bogus program at a price? I have saved the Premium Support link...thanks for that.
  11. Nope....it's not reared it's ugly head... I think in my original post I mentioned I got with an outfit on line called 'Advanced Technical Support'...they must have removed the nasty thing I got from that fake security program, but maybe that's all they removed because I watched them using their remote acsess for nearly 3 hrs. and afterwards my computer was running well...I just couldn't get the Malwarebytes to work... just to be curious...are these folks legit? http://www.advanced-techsupport.com/ Thanks so much.
