  1. Hi, I'm typing this from another computer. Turns out my pc was infected with malware, yesterday it took hold and i couldn't even connect to the internet any more. Having it completely reset so this topic can be closed now. Thanks again
  2. Guys I need big help here, things seem to be getting worse. Avast is showing me all kinds of malware now, and pages are taking an age to load (see attachments). Computer seems to be sticking more too. How do I get safe mode with networking through the msconfig command? The F8 method doesn't work on this computer.
  3. Should i try restarting under last known good configuration? don't know what else to do..
  4. Yes it is, no problems with you merging those posts into this topic.
  5. Hi, I'm still experiencing this problem. I got a new modem/router, and I tried booting in safe mode but in these settings I can't log onto the internet for some reason. I'm completely dumbfounded. Are there any settings on the computer which might need altering?
  6. Hi, The computer is fine but the internet is still very slow. I keep having to disconnect my modem and then reconnect again. Could it be something to do with firefox? At my wits end with this now.
  7. Hi, I've attached the these logs. Thank you AdwCleanerS1.txt JRT.txt Result.txt
  8. Hi, I've attached both of these logs. Thank you. dds.txt attach.txt
  9. Since around a week ago my internet has been playing up. For the first few minutes of use it's fine, then it goes very very slow (practically unusable). I have to disconnect and connect again, or restart the computer. Then it goes slow again after a few minutes of use. I contacted AOL who sent me a new router, but it hasn't made any difference. Any ideas what I can do? I'm going to need the internet soon to do my school work.. slightly panicking as I can't work out what has caused this. I'm using the latest version of firefox btw. hijackthis.log
  10. I'd also like to add I've received a new router from Aol, but it's not made any difference.
