  1. I have MBAM pro still on several computers. They are all going crazy with mutiple IP Block notices (lower right corner) in any web browser going to very reputable news sites - reuters.com, nytimes.com, ... that I have been going to daily for years without getting these notifications. This has all been happening to all my computers with MBAM Pro for the last few days - since this whole Bad Update mess happened. I have ran all kinds of full scans with virus and spyware software - all find nothing. Why has this IP Blocking activity happened suddenly? Is it related to the bad update? I have been reading through the forums and I seem to see that many others are experiencing this same problem for the last few days. Can anyone shed any light on this? For now, I had to disable the notifications of Malicious IP Blocking activity as it is really annoying and quite disconcerting. I hope that Malwarebytes can recover from this major mess - but if the Malicious IP Blocking problem isn't resolved (or at least addressed in some real way - other than saying it is just due to ad serving on sites) soon - people will uninstall the software. As good as the software is, people are reeling at this point with the mess of not being able to startup their systems and then after finally getting everything back - we are getting a slew of Malicious IP Blocking Activity being reported - ON CLEAN SYSTEMS. The only logical conclusion is that there is either a problem with Malwarebytes or the word wide web has had some astronomical increase in malicious IP activity in the last few days which has not been reported anywhere else as far as I know. I hope that someone can address this very disconcerting issue.
  2. That is the version that I ran yesterday (it ran for approximately 7 hours). I am still having many problems. Any other suggestions?
  3. I am also getting notifications on just about every news website as well as cnet.com - but on my computer it is blocking 50.123.124.152. I am having a hard time believing that all of these reputable sites have content or ads that are now being blocked as malicious by Malwarebytes. Since so many people are reporting this all of a sudden - I am thinking that this must be a False Positive. Can anyone from malwarebytes test cnet.com, reuters.com, to see if they are infected through these IPs?
  4. They are both located at C:|Windows\winsxs\.. This is a Windows 7 system.
  5. I am also having problems now with MBAM reporting that it is blocking malicious IPs (outgoing) for several different IP's including 50.23.124.152. I have tried the suggested fix of updating the database and running a quick scan. This notification came up when accessing a news story at www.reuters.com. Is Reuters website really infected?
  6. After running the fixtool and restarting I am still getting many errors relating to missing GdiPlus.dll and comctl32.dll (Win 7 system). Can anyone offer any suggestions for fixing this? I have tried to restore these files from quarantine - but nothing happens. When I go to the file locations referenced in the quanrantine list - the files seem to be there.
  7. So it is normal to see some of the same files come up many times in the command window. Example: C:\Windows\System32\KERNELBASE.DLL ?
  8. I hope that someone can possibly help me. I have a Win 7 computer that got hit by this mess. System Restore is not working. I was finally able to get the fixtool onto the computer and I am currently running it in safe mode. The tool has been running for about an hour now. I can see a long list of files coming up in the command window being restored but I am seeing some of the same files coming up more than once. How long can this tool take? At what point should I give up and interrupt/end the batch file from running?
