Hi, I logged on first to find out if the Malwarebytes download from Cnet was safe, and found this.

Naturally I had to ask because Cnet is the reason I need to download malwarebites in the hopes it would detect and remove all the hijacking crap I got from Cnet. On my last pc I had the paid version of your program.
Why would a malware remover, use as a trusted site a place that is now known to pack their downloads with malware? Or is Mixi.DJ toolbar, and sweetpacks, not considered malware by you, despite their nefarious means of getting on your computer and hijacking functionality? You say you tell them not to add crap to your download, well that is nice but aren't you endorsing them by hosting your software there? If you have to tell them not to load your download with trash then there is something wrong there.
the program i downloaded from Cnet was the VLC media player
