  5. Rising AV is the subject of an active thread at Wilders. It may be a good idea to review that thread before taking the plunge and installing RAV.
  6. Hi tommymason, Malware removal on this forum follows a set procedure. Please read this post and follow the directions therein. Once you have posted the logs in the correct forum someone will assist you with sanitizing your machine.
  7. Updated db to #848, ran MBAM full scan in safe mode - ok Rebooted into normal and ran full scan - ok. The only change in the environment here between the attempts that crashed and the successful attempts was the installation of the "Patch Tuesday" patches. Having said that I have no means of ascertaining if that was a factor. 9. 1.17 quick scan ran ok for me, full scan crashed the machine. Minidump debug output submitted to Marcin.
  10. Running a full scan with 1.16 gave me the BSOD and restarted my machine. 11. I can confirm that db update #844 no longer flags this one. Thanks Bruce
  12. Windows Vista Home Premium SP1 Updated using the internal update tool. Ran scans as above. No problems to report, all went smoothly
  13. As above, downloaded and updated to #788, all now working correctly. Thanks
  14. I have also encountered this problem, details as described above. Running MS Vista Home Premium. In an attempt to resolcve this I downloaded mbam-rules.exe from the link http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam/database/mbam-rules.exe which allowed me to get Mbam up and running on database 785. However, attempting to "check for updates" caused the error shown above.
  15. Marcin, Congratulations on the release. I have run a quick scan on a Vista Home Premium machine with Intel Dual Core 6400 @ 2.13Mhz processors, no concerns about CPU usage.
