  1. Thanks for all the help Ron! Yes I'm currently using uBlock Origin as an ad blocker but was using AdBlocker Plus which was letting some ads through so it was recommended to try uBlock Origin. Anyway apparently uBlock Origin isn't always blocking ads either.
  2. Been a couple of days now without any pop-ups so far so good. Curious to what was going on... the AdwCleaner scan did detect it and consequently deleted it... was that what solved the issue? Why doesn't Malwarebytes running Real-time prevent things like this?
  3. Whew took quite a while to run scan but I posted the results. Thanks! Fixlog.txt

  5. I'm running latest Malwarebytes Premium and maybe for a couple of weeks it has been blocking CoinHive on random websites... using Firefox (latest 57.0.2). There's no pattern I can detect because it's so random... I've gotten the pop-up on Home Depot, PayPay, and many others even got a pop-up when bringing up the Firefox Add-ons. Normally I will get the pop-up once on these web pages but not for a second visit which is just so weird. I've included my mb-check-results for you to look over. Thanks! Mike mb-check-results.zip
  6. Yep already did that and just ran another scan still not showing the PUP!
  7. No but I never had any of those anyway as I mentioned earlier my mother never used Chrome.
  8. Here's an update although not entirely sure what happened though. Since I had a Chrome Profile error I renamed the Default folder and let Chrome create a new folder which fixed the error... now works fine. I closed Chrome and ran Malwarebytes scan three times and now no PUP I even rebooted between one of them. Have no idea why the PUP disappeared just because I deleted the Default Chrome folder but hopefully it doesn't come back.
  9. Well pretty sure I did but l just reinstalled Chrome again to double-check but been getting "Profile Error Occurred" every time I open Chrome. What's up with that it doesn't let you even sign in?
  10. I've trying to get rid of pup.optional.sweetpacks that Malwarebytes keeps finding on my mom's PC. She's always ran Malwarebytes free until I installed an extra Pro license I had and so has been running Real-Time Protection for awhile now. Should Malwarebytes running Real-Time prevent pup.optional.sweetpacks? I'm having to try to remotely remove pup.optional.sweetpacks since I can't always get to her house which makes it a little more challenging. First of all is this something that really isn't harmful and could be excluded? Since this PUP seems to be related to Google Chrome I tried following these steps but it keeps coming back. I uninstalled and reinstalled Chrome but still won't go away. This is a little frustrating because she doesn't even use Chrome I put it on her computer one day because I wanted to use it so wished I had never installed it. So do I tell Malwarebytes to ignore it... if not guess I need further help getting rid of it?
  11. I have two copies of Malwarebytes Pro that I've had for awhile I upgraded to Premium Version 2 retaining my lifetime license. If I buy Malwarebytes Pro onlIne http://www.amazon.com/Malwarebytes-Anti-Malware-Pro-2013/dp/B00AY016T0/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1399747777&sr=8-2&keywords=malwarebytes+anti-malware+pro+lifetime and upgrade to Version 2 will I still have a lifetime license... wasn't sure if it was too late to do this? If yes then then would this also apply to this download http://www.amazon.com/Malwarebytes-Anti-Malware-LIFETIME-License-Immediate/dp/B00H9023OK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1399747777&sr=8-1&keywords=malwarebytes+anti-malware+pro+lifetime
  12. My Malwarebytes Premium is suddenly detecting PUP.Optional.Conduit.A in C:\Users\Mike\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Preferences If I put it into Quarantine it just comes back the next day. Is this safe to ignore and if not can you tell me how to get rid of it?
