  1. Every software is vulnerable to bugs and glitches. This has happened before, and it will probably happen again. I wouldn't jump ship just because of one bad patch. It's a headache to be sure, but I can't see anyone else not having the same risk factor. It's not like MB does this every other day.
  2. Yup, something similar happened in the past where a bad update killed Google and a ton of other legit and common services/sites. It was fixed pretty quickly, IIRC, but so hopefully a fix will come fast here as well.
  3. It's just a setting in the app. I flipped "web protection" off in "Real Time Protection". I'm just a home user, so it was easy.
  4. Yup, same here. Just started this morning. Have to disable website protection to stop it.
  5. 1.0.11788 seems to be causing the issue. My wife's laptop had it, mine had an earlier version. When I updated my laptop, it skipped right to 1.1.1179 and all is well. I just updated my wife's laptop and it's all good again there, too.
