  1. I also have issues with mbae and comodo sandbox (as part of cis 8, if this makes a difference versus firewall only). Basically, all sandboxed browsers open incredibly slowly and are basically impossible to use. I did try to watch something on youtube a while ago in sandboxed chromodo with mbae running and needed to install flash and had some issues. If I disable mbae protection, they are fine, no flash issue and not painfully slow. I have no problem with hitman pro alert (v3 trial), with all exploit protections enabled, and comodo sandbox, so it seems like there might be a way for exploit protection to work smoothly with sandbox. I love malwarebytes, have a premium license and just hoping comodo (and maybe sandboxes in general, it seems sandboxie has issues as well) becomes officially supported . Same problem in 1.06. I didn't try to replicate the flash issue because it is just too slow to even navigate to youtube, but the slowness is still the same.
  2. I disabled BottumUp ASLR and opened explorer without an alert, but then I re-enabled it and was still able to open it without an alert. After the alert, I installed hitman pro alert, disabled mbae and opened explorer without a problem (hitman pro alert has bottemup ASLR enabled for everything- chrome, iexplorer, etc.- by default). But, when I opened it with hitman, I was asked if I wanted to allow my search page to be changed to yahoo.com (which was fine, it was part of the comodo installation and I don't mind helping out and then changing it back if I want to). I clicked allow and then later did these tests with mbae (after disabling hitman pro protection for explorer). Is it possible the dialog to change the default search triggered this? That was already done by the time I read your advice and tried again, which could explain the failure to replicate the alert. Thanks for your help!
  3. One issue with this is if you miss the pop-up (or forget : ), it seems difficult to figure out what is being protected. Sometimes I see 2 shielded applications, yet I only have one browser open...I'm sure something is running somewhere else, but this requires some effort to track down. Is there any other way to see what is currently being shielded? I might have missed something. Maybe by highlighting or having the option to quickly open a more extensive log? Personally, I am not a fan of the pop-ups and prefer to see a more complete log on-demand...but I'm just one user : )
  4. I'm using the latest beta version (1.06.1.1012), so not sure if I should be posting there, but I tried to open internet explorer and got an exploit blocked pop-up (logs attached). Is this an FP? Thanks! Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit.zip
  5. I posted too soon! I didn't see the new option for "Chrome-based browser" underneath Browser. I tried that, and it is working fine. I love the new changes, by the way Thanks for your help!
  6. I installed the latest Beta version (1.06.1.1012) and it is still happening. I see Comodo Dragon is now supported, which I think is very similar, so I am surprised Chromodo is having this conflict. The details I get in the exploit blocked pop-up are: Protection Layer: Application Hardening, Protection Technique: Exploit blocked by bottom-up ASLR enforcement, File/Process Blocked: N/A, Attacking URL: N/A. If I set the profile to 'other' rather than browser, there is no problem, I assume because the application hardening portion isn't used.
  7. Hello, I am using MBAE premium with Comodo internet security. If I add a custom shield for Chromodo browser (chromodo.exe), I can't open it and get an exploit blocked alert. I have uninstalled/re-installed the Chromodo component, and it didn't change anything. Is this some sort of malware/exploit or a conflict with Chromodo? Thanks! Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit.zip
  8. Just an update, in case anyone else is considering- this works well, other than a slow initial startup of MATLAB sometimes, I can run analysis etc. with no problem.
  9. I use some software (MATLAB) that uses java, but has its own (old) versions. I think this could be a vulnerability. Can I create a shield for MATLAB to deal with this? If so, should this be classified as 'other'? Thanks!
  10. Thank you so much for your help! I will do all of this (am almost done) and the computer is running well.
  11. I got it to run in compatibility mode for XP, but I'm not sure how accurate this is. The computer has McAfee Total Protection and McAfee firewall is turned on, but this only shows windows firewall it seems. I will try to download it again. 13. Okay, I fixed it. I saw hotspot shield after restoring, but not in the uninstall dialog, so I thought maybe restoring it didn't work. Clicking on hotspot shield confirmed this, said their was a problem with the installation. So, re-installed hotspot shield, then used Revo to uninstall it, then manually uninstalled the HSS adaptors in network settings that were still there, and I'm now connected. I guess I will run Adware cleaner again to get rid of the other stuff we restored...
  14. Is it relevant that the drivers came from Lenovo and it is a Toshiba laptop?
  15. It still isn't working- either wireless or with the LAN cable- I get the same error. Hovering over either (wireless or LAN after troubleshooting) shows "Windows couldn't automatically bind the IP protocol stack to the network adapter."
