Sir, Thank you for the quick response. I tend to be on the more cautious side (some would say paranoid) when it comes to downloading and/or installing utilities I am unfamiliar with. To that end, I have a couple of questions. First, does either of these executables require installation (registry modification, file additions, etc), or is each a stand alone program? Second, I downloaded both in a secure environment, and uploaded each to VirusTotal for AV analysis. While the first (mbam-check-2.1.1.1001.exe) came up as clean, a virus (Trojan/PSW.Autoit.ic) was flagged in the second (frst64.exe), albeit by a single AV engine (out of 57) that I have never heard of. Further research suggests that this may be a false positive. Do you have any insight into what this may be? Thank you for your time and expertise.
