  1. hi, i'm back again. so I wanted to know if I could recover the vendor information about the virus that I had on my laptop. Only problem is; I deleted the virus about 20 days ago. I used malwarebytes to quarantine it, and unfortunately I immediately deleted it. is there anyway that I could recover the vendor information?
  2. A few weeks ago I ran malwarebytes for the first time and it picked up a virus. I quarantined it and foolishly deleted it; now I can't find out much information about it. How can I find out when the virus was installed on my system?
  3. Yep I have finished thank you! Yes it is the same system, although I'd rather not use FRST again
  4. Hi, I was wondering what the different ''threats'' are on malwarebytes. I'm talking about the ones that are like, ''*red circle* Malware" or "*yellow circle* Potentially Unwanted Software'' in the Scan Log. How many different ''threats'' are there and what are all of their names? And also, is there anyway to find out the date that a virus was installed in my computer? I've deleted the virus now, but is there anyway of knowing from the scan log? Thanks
  5. Actually, I decided that I'm ok for now and I don't think I need to scan my system anymore; how do I delete Farbar?
  6. 7. Do you want the scan log from when I had the virus in computer system or the scan log from now (even though I have removed the virus)?
  8. So yesterday (for the first time ever), I did a scan of my laptop using MalwareBytes. Everything went well except for one thing; there was one file that was a bit dodgy. ''Files: 1Trojan.Agent, C:\Users\sammy\cmd.exe, Quarantined, [3e3bea594e3c6fc7250503f8e71ca45c],''I removed the trojan straight away. However, I'm interested in finding out what the virus would have done to my laptop. While the trojan was in my laptop, nothing appeared odd except for the fact that my wifi kept cutting out and saying ''limited access'' every few hours (but I assumed that was a widespread issue with Windows 8/8.1 as many people had reported the same difficulties). What would the virus have done to my laptop?
