  1. Ran Delfix. All is good. Have bookmarked the excellent articles in the link you posted. We are ok to close out. Many thanks again for the terrific assistance. Cheers.
  2. Executed delfile.bat as per your instructions. All is good. Should I do anything about all the corrective programs that have been downloaded? Can't thank you enough for all your help and patience and for solving the main issue and all the issues that cropped up on the way to success!
  3. Sure is good to be able to run these programs now! ESET log file attached. log.txt
  4. Have sorted those two issues. ESET scan now running. Will post log when it completes.
  5. Thanks Kevin. Have two queries about ESET. 1. I still have ESET from a previous download - can I go ahead and run the scan from this same download? 2. Went to disable Windows Defender but it won't open. Message box advised - "A problem caused this service to stop"
  6. RogueKiller log attached. RKreport_SCN_06262015_235320.log
  7. Yes, RogueKiller is running Thank you. Will post log after scan completes.
  8. Full scan done with WDO. One virus found - a Browser Modifier, which was removed. Only problem is I can't locate the WDO log file.
  9. Windows Defender Offline now doing a full scan on PC with issues. Two instances of the same virus found on the Quick Scan - one on the hard drive and one (it seems) on the USB drive! Both cleaned. Will post again with log when full scan is finished.
  10. I do have access to another PC, although it's a Windows 7 and the PC with issues is the Vista. Will it still be ok to use the Windows 7 PC to download the Windows Defender Offline tool onto the USB flash drive?
  11. Downloaded SubInACL and ran successfully. Was unable to view the SubInACL log as the file was too large for Notepad. Tried to run RogueKiller but still nothing after allowing permission to continue.
  12. Unable to run RogueKiller. It asks for permission to continue, then nothing.
  13. Rebooted and was able to run FRST. Fixlog.txt attached. Computer running very slow. mbam setup would not run - "The service cannot accept control messages at this time" was the message that popped up. Fixlog.txt
  14. Downloaded Fixlist.txt. FRST would not run - "The pipe state is not valid."
