  1. A reboot solves the icon missing in tray. But personally, I'm more worried about MBAE crashing currently opened shielded applications when it updates. It's done this the last 2 times at least, that it has updated, and it never used to do it before that.
  2. Indeed, this is also the case for me. Further, for the last couple of MBAE updates, when it automatically updates, it crashes all shielded programs that are currently open. Windows 10 Pro x64 2004 (19041.508)
  3. This is still happening as of May 31st, 2018. Just tried to update VLC from within VLC using the built-in updater, and got the false positive shown in the image above. From VLC x64 3.0.2 to 3.0.3 on Windows 10 Home x64 1803 (17134.81).
  4. You're clicking the wrong "Activate" button. To activate shields, click the "Activate" button at the top left of the window after selecting an application. The "Activate" button at the bottom left of the window is to activate a license.
  5. (Couldn't find a way to edit my post) If instead of starting Pale Moon soon after rebooting, I wait the 10 minutes and then do an initial start of Pale Moon, MBAE does not give the detection and alerts me that Pale Moon is protected. This strengthens my belief that the detection is a false positive/bug.
  6. I just started getting this exact message when launching Pale Moon x86 25.7.3 today after rebooting my machine. After some time has passed (5-10 mins), I am able to launch Pale Moon without it giving me that detection event, but yet it no longer gives the notification that Pale Moon is protected by MBAE. This repeats itself after each machine reboot. I'm on Windows 10 x64, using MBAE 1.07.1.1015, not using any 3rd party Anti-virus. The only new software I used was the "Show or Hide updates" troubleshooter package from Microsoft at https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3073930 Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit.zip
  7. Hello. I'm wondering if there are any downsides to running MBAE? Anything at all, such as (but not limited to) degraded system performance, degraded performance of a shielded application, behavioral issues of a shielded application, etc, and to what degree they might typically occur. I'm aware of the positive things MBAE does, I am just trying to gauge if it is right for me (and in the future, others I recommend it to based on my gained experience with the application). I know it's sort of an odd question, but it would be nice to know the culprit of any negative effects I encounter when using MBAE instead of wondering if it's something else causing the 'problem' or just a bug that only I am encountering. Thank you.
