  1. hi, i'm new to this forum so i hope i post in the right category and so forth:) today, when i tried to start up mozilla, windows defender detected a threat and mozilla was shut down. same thing with internet explorer. i did a google search for the name of the trojan windows detected (tahdelt!lnk) but found nothing. scanned with malwarebytes and found nothing. but when i scanned with windows defender it found and deleted the trojan. only problem is that when i restarted, all shortcuts to internet explorer and mozilla were gone and i hade to open it directly from the programs folder. the windows defender warning still pops up once in a while so my computer is definitely not clean. i don't know if it's safe to use my internet at all since defender blocked it before when i used the shortcuts and the alert level is listed as "severe". i found this just now http://www.microsoft.com/security/portal/threat/encyclopedia/entry.aspx?Name=Trojan%3aWin32%2fTahdelt!lnk&ThreatID=-2147270223which seems to be an update made today. but it doesn't say what it does. maybe someone here has heard of it or can help? thanks in advance
