  1. I am also experiencing the issue described by others in this topic. No problems with MB Pro 2.1.8.1057 until yesterday's database update. I had to do a forced shutdown because my computer froze. Tried rebooting. Got a "Malwarebytes has had an error; needs to shut down" message. Apparently the MB database was eventually updated to 2015.07.26.05. This did NOT solve the problem. Same error message on reboot. Apparently one MB service starts, the other doesn't (I didn't note which). Once MB is shut down, the PC works fine. I am running XP SP3. Also Norton Security Suite v21.7.0.11. Processor is x86 Family 6 Model 23 Stepping 6 GenuineIntel ~2527 Mhz. No time to do hours of investigative work producing logfiles, etc. I'll just wait for the fix or the next version.
