  1. No, its a very old piece of software that hasn't been available for a while.
  2. Hi, A very old Real Estate related software package called "SafeGuard" is still used by one of my clients here in Australia. It is definitely not malware, but it is being detected by AdwCleaner as "PUP.Optional.SafeGuard". Can you add this to the trusted list for us please? I have added the recent log files. AdwCleaner[C1].txt AdwCleaner[S1].txt
  3. Sorry, I just released what you meant. I've never clicked "cancel" on that pop-up and didn't realise that if I did it would let me continue to use the out-of-date version. That was very helpful! The latest build of v6 ran successfully on the computer that was crashing when trying v7. It found a bunch of stuff and cleaned it successfully. I'll update the PM too.
  4. Is there any particular technician reason why you can't re-enable v6 as a stable option and have v7 for beta testing?
  5. Version 7 is clearly not ready to be going live. Can you please send v7 back to beta tested and re-instate version 6 in the meantime. Thank you.
  6. Adwcleaner 7.0.0 crashes and stops working. Here is the debug log AdwCleaner_Debug.log
  7. sfc fixed it !! Great idea. Well done. See attached image and log. I didn't run FRST again as it was not required. CBS.log
  8. Yes, its enabled and fully up to date. Only the Windows 10 upgrade is not done.
  9. Ccleaner temp files removed using default settings - No change Ccleaner Registry clean done too - No change. IFRAME set to disabled - No change
  10. I did this and it didn't help. I restarted the PC and still no good. This PC may still be infected, or the defaultbrowser.htm page code has somehow been altered. I have no idea how to fix it though.
  11. Do we need to get the Malwarebytes technicians involved with this case? I suspect they'd like their product to be able to deal with this problem.
  12. I did the mbam scan with your suggested settings - 0 threats found. See attached log. mbam.txt
  13. Yes. Only in IE and only when Google Chrome is set as he default browser. When I make IE the default browser then neither of them do it. The bad page seems to be generated by IE's default browser detection component. Instead of saying IE isn't the default browser, this page loads instead.
