  1. Dear MalwareBytes staff, I have a problem that afflicts me for a couple days now, I tried with all my forces to fix it or to find someone who has my same problem on the net without any result. All I can say is that I do not remember having installed anything when the problem started. My problem consists of strange behaviors of scrollbars and menus. I do not know how to specify "menus", but i am able to give you some captures of my screen concerning that symptom: http://i.imgur.com/LiUlMBi.gifMenus automatically closing as soon as I click on them, and most things controlled by the mouse wheel are automatically dragged down (volume on vlc, program list on start as soon as I open a folder). http://i.imgur.com/nd7ws3R.gifInformation that pops out if I hold my mouse over an object. I do not know if it's normal becouse I totally lost my mind's sanity in these days but when I right click on chrome, if I do not hit the menu that pops out it automatically disappears, so I have to pay a lot of attention when I put my mouse when I right click, I do not remember this being so. Here are some images about the scrolling problem: http://i.imgur.com/EIyfUCu.gifthis also happens when I chose a language when I install a program, to install MalwareBytes I had to play roulette in order to get a language I know, http://i.imgur.com/ZTIdDpp.gifNot sure if it's important but it gives priority to the left-right scrolling instead of the top-down. Now that you know what happens I would like to tell a bit of the story of this problem. It came suddenly, I do not remember exactly when, but it was 2 days ago. I tried to fix it in several ways, mbam has detected a few malwares but it didn't fix this one. I tried to run the computer in safe mode, but the problem persists, I think it has infected some files in system32, "explorer.exe" for instance. I say that becouse when I tried to install some virus removal it gave me an error "explorer.exe can't find the location of the file" or something like that, but the files was there, and it gave me this error for every exe file. I tried to recover my system to an earlier time but first it gave me that error, so I rebooted and it seem have been fixed, but even after the recovery the problem was still there! I used a restore point of the 20th August, way before all this started, but it's still there. I have to admit a fault, I had not my antivirus active that day, I wanted to test something and well, I got the lesson, but I'm really sorry for my stupidity. After this confession, when I tried to run an antivirus scan it didn't work, literally, the scan never started, and when I clicked on a quick-scan it gave me some sort of error. I tried to install a different antivirus but the installation got corrupted. I searched a bit on the net and is it possible that it has modifies some registry keys on Image File Execution Options that modify the way explorer works? I am not any good in this so I just watched some registry keys and stopped there. I even tried to replace explorer.exe with a pure one but still nothing. You are my last hope before the formatting option. Sorry for the long post. Regards. Addition.txt FRST.txt
