  1. I still haven't tried the DNS fix since I wanted to see what happened with this thread, but I want to report that I've started seeing the popups on another one of my computers.
  2. I recently started seeing this issue on my Windows 8 HTPC, but I have never installed any Avast products on any of the machines on my network. Here is a small sample of the Malwarebytes log. Detection, 9/10/2015 8:12 PM, SYSTEM, SHAWN-VHTPC8, Protection, Malicious Website Protection, IP, 92.242.140.21, 50063, Outbound, C:\Windows\explorer.exe, Detection, 9/10/2015 8:12 PM, SYSTEM, SHAWN-VHTPC8, Protection, Malicious Website Protection, IP, 92.242.140.21, 50065, Outbound, C:\Windows\explorer.exe, Detection, 9/10/2015 8:12 PM, SYSTEM, SHAWN-VHTPC8, Protection, Malicious Website Protection, IP, 92.242.140.21, legecymsn.finance.microsoft.com, 50066, Outbound, C:\Windows\explorer.exe, I have tried scanning with: Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Premium Malwarebytes Anti-Rootkit Windows Defender Spybot S&D TDSSKiller RogueKiller (Only found two "PUM.Policies" registry entries in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, (x64) and (x86) Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System, both with a value of "ConsentPromptBehaviorAdmin" and a Data of "0". I have not deleted these keys yet because I wanted to consult with you before making any changes.) ...and all have found nothing (except as noted above for RogueKiller). Before I apply the DNS fix, I want to check with you if there is something else I should do since Avast isn't to blame. If it was related to my ISP (Verizon FiOS), wouldn't I see this issue on all my computers instead of just the one? Thanks!
