    Sorry I have never seen anything like it before that's why I called it an icon. Yes it appears to be a monitor problem. I'm not running windows its a mac. The monitor is an older one an LG flatron L1720P. I thought maybe someone had seen this before.

    I have this strange icon on my screen that even remains there with all windows closed. I contact apple and they couldn't help. It doesn't show up in a screen shot for some reason. so I took a photo of it with my phone hoping someone may know what it is. Please help.
