Hi TwinHeadedEagle The fix worked. I ran Malwarebytes immediately after running the fix and there was no trace. I then ran Malwarebytes again a couple of days later to make sure it was gone for good and again no trace, my PC is clean again. Thanks for your help. Steven Fixlog.txt

Hi TwinHeadedEagle I couldn.t find Microsoft Security Essentials in the list of installed programs, so I ran the removal tool recommended by you on another forum. I have run the Farber utility as instructed and attach the fixlog file as requested. I ran Malwarebytes following the fix and PUM.Optional.ProxyHijacker is still present. Steven Fixlog.txt

Hi I first noticed this a couple of weeks ago following a Malwarebytes scan and deleted it immediately but every subsequent scan it appears again. Any help to remove this permanently would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Steven
