It's okay Eagle. I can still access my destop via the folder on the bottom of the screen. It is clearly some kind of virus, but i don't want you to get in to trouble for the 'naughty' downloads i have on my machine, so i think i am best looking for a more 'open' source forum which is prepared to help, as opposed to one which is not. Can you at least point me in the direction of one of these? JR

Hi Eagle, sadly i have some chess torrents on my pc which i'm not going to let go of. If it helps you, i generally try and buy the dvds if i like them, and for that reason i have about ten £20-£30 dvds on my shelves for this very reason, but nevertheless if you are going to have me arrested for having these torrents on my computer, i have to stop this conversation here. My desktop has gone missing. Also my antivirus software, AVG, failed to pick up the culrit. I am in the middle of running RogueKiller, and i hope to be able to post the log, assuming this doesn't catch the virus. At which point hopefully someone on here will be able to tell me what to do, thanks! John.
