Last night, I made the dumb mistake of rushing through the options you get before installing a program and accidentally accepted some malware. One was called NowUSeeIt and the other was the Palikan search engine. I did some research online, found two pages that explained how to get rid of them, and followed both sets of instructions. Everything seems fine now, but there's one problem. When I search my registry for Palikan, there are two values ("Go_Palikan.job" and "Go_Palikan.job.fp") that show up in HKEY_Local_Machine > SOFTWARE > Microsoft > Windows NT > CurrentVersion > Schedule > CompatibilityAdapter > Signatures. If I right-click on the values and try to delete them, I get the error message "Unable to delete all specified values." So far, I've run AdwCleaner, Junkware Removal Tool, MalwareBytes Anti-Malware (with the rootkit search enabled), and HitmanPro. I've cleaned the registry with CCleaner and made sure that any shortcuts/add-ons for Palikan were removed from my Internet browsers. Despite all of that, those values are still in my registry and I can't figure out how to remove them. What should I do?
