  1. Thank you very much daman1... I, and others, appreciate that so we may stay focused on the thread topic. - faithfully
  2. It never ceases to amaze me that people think self-righteous off-topic "flaming" on Beta Testing forums is productive or useful. "Destination?" I have no idea what that even means (nor do I care). A harmless observation towards the end of my original post is not a valid example of "mixing topics." I speak with the Malwarebytes staff... not random opportunists who look to take comments out of context and use them to shamelessly promote other things. What this person (New Member from France) wants... is some kind of acknowledgment to validate commentary that is neither useful nor beneficial. Further, I think this thread and community would appreciate it if posts were limited to posts and discussions that specifically address the Malwarebytes staff about the thread topic. My suggestion to all, I repeat... to "ALL" users, posters, and Beta Testers... is that if you really think things such as your own 3rd party software suggestions and other off-topic comments are so critical and pertinent... that you start a new topic thread addressing it specifically.... rather than wasting thread space on pointless replies iaimed at self-justification towards other users who never solicited your opinions in the first place. This thread is meant to address Long shutdown times. Let's keep it that way and not de-volve into areas that are not aimed at addressing solutions for more-than-likely non-related issues!
  3. Hello again good folks of Malwarebytes... So it would seem that the long shutdown times affecting Windows 7* (I run Ultimate) x64 continues to be an issue since first reported. Just letting you know I continue to follow the thread in my attempt to stay apprised. I am hoping that a fix will resolve the issue in the near future. Additionally, I finally must comment on a couple of replies I have noticed either directly or indirectly to my original post, specifically in support of a staff response to a couple of replies regarding registry residue left over after uninstalling MWARW.... I fully support the staff response to Antec and further think it is neither useful or appropriate to encourage or solicit the use of third-party software (IE various registry cleaners). This is not what the topic is about nor is it even remotely relevant to the issue Long shutdown times... ( I simply mentioned it towards the very end of my original post as an innocuous observation and in turn received a satisfactory reply from Malwarebytes directly... no further commentary about is necessary or desired from other users) It is my suggestion that users who post in the forums and Beta Testers limit their conversational discussions to the staff responses and replies of Malwarebytes directly and not engage other users such as myself... I do not welcome input or suggestions from other random posters and prefer that posts intended to be a dialog solely with Malwarebytes be respected and treated as such by other users. Thank you Malwarebytes for continuing to assess and troubleshoot the ongoing issue of Long Shutdown Times regarding MBARW. - faithfully
  4. Hey good folks... I only used the MBARW for a short ime obviously. All seemed to work well... with my only gripe being the task bar/notification tray issue for which I posted my 2 cents and appreciate the feedback. However, I must report that I have since had to uninstall MBARW due to very long shutdown times. I run Win7x64 on a Dell laptop with Symantec Endpoint Protection and MBAE. The shutdown time took minutes instead of what is usually seconds... remaining on the blue spinning shutdown wheel screen for extended periods of time. Just letting you guys know that the original report is not an isolated event. In order to necessitate the ease of use for my system, I must keep MBARW uninstalled until this can be addressed and remedied.... so with regret I must suspend my testing for the time being, but I will check back from time to time to see if any progress has been made or if any future releases/updates solve my issue. Sorry I cannot be of any more assistance for technical feedback. I do not maintain records. I did also notine, the program did not appear to completely remove itself after uninstalling, leaving the Malwarebytes MBARW folder in Program Data with what I guess were config files and the likes for MBARW. So I suppose you might want to add checking that it completely uninstalls to your testing list as well. I remain a loyal supporter of Malwarebytes, and continue to appreciate your products and your efforts. - Faithfully
  5. Hello good folks... Windows 7x64 user here. So far so good I think, and I am pleased Malwarebytes has released software to address the ransomware epidemic... I would like to also voice my preference for MBARW to not continually confuse and clutter the taskbar and for it to reside solely in the notification/quick launch area for future updates/releases.... one can always manually add it to the taskbar if desired, but it is somewhat annoying that it cannot be removed/unpinned at the user's discretion. I think a dual presence of a program that is theoretically supposed to simply securely harden one's system and not be overtly intrusive by calling attention to itself more than necessary is aesthetically defeated by having an open window continually appear in the task bar in addition to the notification/quick launch area.... quite simply, it is a minor annoyance of overkill. Personally speaking, I use my task bar quite a bit and like to keep it clean. Thank you for all your hard work and time in advance of your efforts. - Faithfully
