  1. that's weird what other folder is protected? in thet startup area

  6. thank you but i already have scanned the drive and it show's nothing is infected. But just to be safe would doing what i said on my first post do anything to clear out any infected malware viruses?

  8. my external harddrive has just media files in it movies, music, pic's and documents. My question is if i copied and pasted my media files to my internal harddrive just to reformat my external harddrive and then put my media files back on my external harddrive would that do anything in deleting any unknown malware, viruses on my external harddrive?

  13. i heard that if you uninstall through the programs own uninstall method if the program has one that its the most effective way to uninstall a program and it removes everything. Is this true?
  14. if i had vista 64 bit installed and wanted to switch to 32 bit would i be able to do that and not do a reinstall? i know that if you upgrade to windows 7 you dont need to do a reinstall but is this the same for going to 64 bit to 32 bit and reverse?
