  1. I think I have a similar issue. I have 2 XP machines that are networked. The 2nd unit prints via the first one. I have a Brother laser on LPT1 and a HP inkjet on USB. If the networked PC tries to print both PC's lock up so badly only a hard re-boot works. Disabling MB 1.45 at start-up so it's not running seems to avert the problem. A quick scan of the PC shows no infections of any sort. I just saw your suggestion so have added the files to my Avast anti-virus and will see if that works. I can bring over the same files on USB that lock up both machines and print them fine off my PC. The PC's have been networked and function on the same printers for well over a year with no issues. The problem appeared with MB. fmerkel
