Butch Cassidy and the8thchild I'm having the same virus on my PC. I think this virus is the one of this analysis: http://www.threatexpert.com/report.aspx?md...8dacec7eade7e2f If all files are removed, with exception of hlp.dat, the system boots normal, but if the hlp.dat is removed, the system crashes at BSOD after the boot. I think that is necessary to find some windows system file that hooks hlp.dat, that makes the system don't boot without hlp.dat! A solution for now is to live with hlp.dat and not to conduct searches in the three browsers listed here: http://www.microsoft.com/security/portal/T...n32%2FBamital.G I'm expecting some smart people in subject to guide us to a removal and fix of this big problem! Butch Cassidy, can you rename the topic title adding "hlp.dat", maybe will help us! Waiting replies!
