  1. ok so the scanner isn't working for me. for firefox it says to enable java (which it is already) and for IE, the scanner keeps giving me this error message after the files have been downloaded. should i run a different scan?
  2. dr. web log: ComboFix.exe\32788R22FWJFW\Create.cmd;C:\Documents and Settings\ryan\Desktop\ComboFix.exe;Probably BATCH.Virus;; ComboFix.exe;C:\Documents and Settings\ryan\Desktop;Archive contains infected objects;;
  3. ok, i'm running the 1st scan. it found combofix as a virus on the complete scan for the dr. web scan. it asked me whether i wanted to move the file, i clicked no. i'll report back once the scans are complete.
  4. no no. no re-directs. as i explained, the re-directs are not a problem at all. in fact, my system is running perfectly fine for a few weeks now. BUT.... i do not remember any virus ever being removed from my pc. unless you're able to see that the virus has been removed? i don't want to start any online banking or anything of that nature until i know that my pc is actually safe! do you think things are ok? you don't see any virus remaining on my system?
  5. fyi, i just had symantec endpoint anti-virus software installed on my pc. i think i can disable this antivirus through the taskbar going forward. i believe the old antivirus has been removed.
  6. nevermind about the flash issue. by the way, if there is an edit post option, please let me know. i wouldn't be posting this many times if it were possible for me to edit my posts.
  7. and just a quick note. i noticed that my adobe flash player no longer works. when i go to click on a particular video, it tells me to update my adobe flash player. i do so, and then it still tells me that i need to update my flash player before viewing the video. any hints on this?
  8. ok, so it was my impatience that was the problem, lol. however, i was only able to get halfway through the scan in the "files" tab before the program crashed. this happened in the exact same place 2 times. should i try running this scan for a 3rd time?
  9. Sorry for all the posts but it appears as if there's a problem with the rookit unhooker scan. It is simply stuck on the file tab after I chose the c:/ drive. It just says to wait while fly makes the scan and that it's getting a list of files...
  10. Ok. I was able to download it however when I choose the option to select disks for scan, it simply tells me that the program is getting the list of files for scan and to please wait. It has been like this for 10 minutes. Is this normal?
  11. the rootkit unhooker download link is broken. any other site i should go to to get that?
