  1. Hello, Recently I got infected with Tidserv Activity 2 and Trojan.Gen. I ran a scan through Norton Security Suite 5 which detected the problem, but wasn't able to remove it. I got a popup telling me "threat requiring manual removal detected: System Infected: Tidserv Activity 2." However, after following their removal steps I can't get it off my machine. The steps didn't even detect a problem! However every 15mins or so, the popup persists. I also tried TDSSKiller with no avail. Problem 2: I get an occasional popup telling me that Trojan.Gen.2 is trying to get access and that Norton was able to block it. At the same moment, Malwarebytes also gives me a popup, tell me that it was able to block access to a potentially malicious website. Here is what one of the entries looks like: 14:06:24 Adminish IP-BLOCK 109.236.81.172 (Type: outgoing, Port: 50417, Process: svchost.exe) These problems all started when I was getting a very high ping last week. That's what alerted me to the problem, so I installed Norton and Malwarebyes. I have run full scans and safe mode scans which do not detect and correct the problem. I have fixed my registry, cleared my recent files. I also installed the newest version of Java (and clearly its history), newest flash, newest Adobe reader, newest IE and firefox and disabled my extensions. I'm out of ideas. Help please!!!! protection-log-2011-09-28.txt
