  1. Hello MBAM! I visited my fiance's parents today, and noticed that their laptop had an infection that looked fairly serious. I like to use Malwarebytes for my scanning. =) The parents use Windows Vista Home Premium SP1. They have three users on this laptop, plus a guest, so their sign on screen is ridiculously LONG. Usually, I download and update Malwarebytes, then boot into SAFE MODE to do a scan. I did this, but it found nothing. I'm quite sure this computer is infected, so here are my questions... WHICH ACCOUNT should I scan? Is it possible for one account to be infected, and the others NOT? (because they said it shows up on one account, and not the other) USER ACCOUNTS ARE: MOM, DAD, DAUGHTER A, and GUEST They say the infection shows up on Dad's screen all the time, but very rarely for the rest of the users. I scanned under Mom's user account, but found nothing. I thought about physically pulling the HDD from the laptop and scanning it with another computer through USB adapter cables, but we are an hour apart, so this will be the most difficult solution. Thanks in advance! (Sorry for the long post)
