Half the internet was just... gone.

Recommended Posts

I'm not sure if I had what you had fivealive. Windows couldn't even update and when I tried to reinstall Firefox (thinking that would help) it would just fail because the setup downloads the files. Doesn't sound browser related.

Contact you Internet Service Provider.

I don't want to question the advice of an expert but, what? It's busted when malwarebytes is active and works when malwarebytes is disabled. How is that caused by my ISP? I hate Rogers as much as the next Canuck but come on.

Yeah that half is gone for some reason...

I generally copy longer posts down in Notepad and the post used to say:

For the past 2 days half the sites on the internet were inaccessible, the ones the did work were broken as heck (here's Reddit http://i28.photobuck...zpseadf121b.png), and any windows component or installer that required an internet connection fell flat on it's face. I assumed dumb ol' me deleted something important or I told Malwarebytes to quarantine something that I shouldn't have so I was going to reformat my rather expensive new computer but on a whim I tried turning off Malicious Website Protection because it has blocked sites that infringe copyrights in the past for me and like magic I could access everything. What the hell?
