Hi rnfstwill If you're having Malware related issues with your computer that you're unable to resolve. 1. Please read and follow the instructions provided here: I'm infected - What do I do now? 2. If needed please post your logs in a NEW topic here: Malware Removal - HijackThis Logs 3. When posting logs please do not use any Quote, Code, or other tags. Please copy/paste directly into your post and do not attach files unless requested. * Please do not post any logs in the General forum. We do not work on any logs posted in the General forum. * Please do not install any software or use any removal/scanning tool except for those you're requested to run by the Helper that will assist you. * Using these other tools often makes the cleanup task more difficult and time consuming. * If you have already submitted for assistance at one of the other support sites on the Internet then you should not post a new log here, you should stay working with the Helper from that site until the issue is resolved. * Do not assume you're clean because you don't see something in the logs. Please wait until the person assisting you provides feedback. * There are often many others that require asistance as well, so please be patient. If no one has responded within 48 hours then please go ahead and post a request for review * NOTE: If for some reason you're unable to run some or any of the tools in the first link, then skip that step and move on to the next one. If you can't even run HijackThis, then just proceed and post a NEW topic as shown in the second link describing your issues and someone will assist you as soon as they can.

and even better way to find out the best antivirus is visit anti-virus-software-review.toptenreviews.com most Antivirus company's do there own audit and say "We are number one" but iv found the top ten don't get swayed over that, they do extreme tests and recommend the best product. -
Hello and welcome, im sure you will find many gems of information here on the product, i know i did

They love your product, and at least they have the courtesy to post your logo's and links on there, not like Norton support

The only other way other than running the manual update is to maybe install malwarebytes on another pc and then copy over on cd the content of an up-to-date (or just updated PC ) C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Malwarebytes\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware this is were the definitions files are stored. then run your scan and follow the route of running HJT and posting the logs in the HJT part of the forum

Ever feel like giving up?
rydall replied to cheftracy40's topic in Malwarebytes for Windows Support Forum
I have to say some times i do just do that, but then i test a fair bit of stuff on my PC's , so i restore snapshot images regularly, it can be faster that spending many hours trying to sort one small error. But REMEMBER, before you go down that road, make sure you have 1. backed up your Email and contacts folders ect 2. backed up all data in the My documents 3. backed up other required accounts and invoicing data 4. backed up all favorates ect 5. saved anything that you can think of that you may need later ect as its harder to recover that after the restore disk wipes all the partition on the drive. Or you can stick to sorting out your issue on here and maybe you will win. -
Read this http://billmullins.wordpress.com/2008/10/3...are-bites-back/ and there are many more of them, what i think makes this the best product iv seen is the following. We are a PC servicing shop that repairs up to 100 pc's a week, and most are infected with spyware and add aware. we use and recommend to ALL our Customers to use this product (i don't work for them) secondly it is the only product that has many updates in a day, so the removal and coverage of new and hard to get removed items are better than the weekly updated products. we see people bringing PC's with spyboot and adware tools on it and they know theres an issue on there pc but they just cannot find what it is (and those tools i just said show zero issues), but run malwarebites on them, and bingo... normally finds, cleans , and everyone is very happy, and we tell everyone about it, and recommend them to purchase, as i can openly say in my 23+ years as a tech and a business owner iv not seen a product like it. they are my thoughts, and not malwarebites thoughts, and remember we see big companies products miss alot of the spyware on PC's in our shop, so all ill say is its the best.

Id agree on the HJT part, iv had my two warnings B) (i think i was on my way out the door ) as to the rest id say yer it would make it a bit easer. But im sure the DEV costs to change the whole IPBoard to do this would be big.
