  1. I think we may be able to close the thread. 2 days and avast hasn't popped up saying the virus is there. I understand symantec not allowing the programs to run correctly, but causing avast to show a virus and creating files I don't quite get. I'm hoping one of the programs you had me run got rid of it but problems continued due to symantec.
  2. Symantec removed. Programs that wouldn't run now are.
  3. Sorry for the delay, I was called to the field short notice to be medic for a training exercise. Attached the log for OTL run fix and also run scan afterwards. 07192012_171356.log Extras.Txt OTL.Txt
  4. Tried downloading both. Symantec blocks them as virus'. Puts it into quarantine. Labels risk as WS.Viral.1. Disable symantec?
  5. Programs that ran before still arent running without being in safemode. I haven't yet recieved any warnings from avast about the Dropper.gen virus.
  6. On first run I got a runtime error. After booting into safemode, it said I had the latest version and please update to the latest version? Wierd. It allowed to update the mbam version but wouldn't allow for updating the definitions. Booted back into regular mode. MBAM opened and definitions updated fine. mbam-log-2012-07-14 (16-22-43).txt
  7. 5 items quarantined and deleted. 3 Android applications, 1 rosetta stone component, 1 application (cheat engine.exe)
  8. C:\Program Files (x86)\ESET\ESET Online Scanner\log.txt ESETSmartInstaller@High as CAB hook log: OnlineScanner64.ocx - registred OK OnlineScanner.ocx - registred OK
  9. aswMBR Complete. aswMBR.txt MBR.zip
  10. In safe mode. Tried cmd prompt got "driver is already loaded...failed to start driver.. enabling driver... failed.." TDSSKiller had the exact same result as previous run while in safe mode.
  11. I copy/paste the command to install the drivers, I recieve a location not available error. Malwarebytes' installed in the Program files (x86) folder. I tried changing the command to "%programfiles(x86)%\..." with and without spaces. All to no avail. Ended up running cmd then mbam-chameleon.com /o. It said it got the driver ok. TDSSkiller still does not run either with double click or run as administrator.
  12. Just as a heads up, I work in an emergency room. Scheduling is a little hectic sometimes. But for this weekend you probably will not hear from me until after 1900.
