  1. Why wouldn't I use Malwarebytes to remove the malware program? For example, the instructions I pasted below basically say to run Windows XP in safe mode, then run Malwarebytes, and I'll be all set. See this link: http://www.geekpolice.net/malware-removal-...uide-t16801.htm Am I missing something? I'm leary of downloading random .exe files that I really can't verify their legitimacy. Basically what I'm saying is why can't I just use Malwarebytes (which I trust), without downloading anything else? THanks
  2. Sorry, my title was supposed to be a question, not a statement! Forgot the "?" I was asking for help to remove it...
  3. I have this rogue malware on my system: "AntiVirus Live." Can I remove this my simple installing and running Malwarebytes? That's my preferred method. I saw a post on how to remove "AntiVirus Live," but it was quite complicated and required me to download files that Chrome was warning me that "These files may harm your computer." Is there a simpler was to remove "AntiVirus Live"? Can I just boot up the computer in safe mode, turn off system restore, and just run Malwarebytes? The damn "AntiVirus Live" program stops all programs, so I probably won't be able to get Malwarebytes up and running to scan. Quite the catch 22 (and a damn nasty maleware!). In a nutshell, is there an easy way to remove this malware? Thanks, Ottoman
