PUP.Optional.InstallCore.A

Recommended Posts

I ran Malwarebytes today as I usually do once a week quick scan. I was a bit shocked to see it say 2 items found. I have quarantined them at the moment as I have no idea what or where it is, or indeed if it is harmful or not.

Should I just keep them quarantined or can I delete them - this is a bit scary. here is the log

By name alone is not enough information. What it is used for and what its doing is the concern.

I would suggest following the advice from the topic here Available Assistance for Possibly Infected Computers and having one of the Experts assist you with looking into your issue.

Thank you

I deleted it from the quarantined box as I never had any issues on PC while it was quarantined.

PC seems fine, but I will more than double check the next time I download something. As InstallCore is some method people use to install stuff better on your PC. or something to that effect.
