Eliza_86 Posted January 16, 2010 ID:184713 Share Posted January 16, 2010 I've got exactly the same problem, but I have Windows Vista. I follow all your steps, but nothing happens. It still doesn't run. I have downloaded the free version of Anti-malware. The only part I don't get is that I have to reactivate the program using the lisence I was sent- I don't have a lisence, maybe because I use the free version. It's also strange that yesterday the program was working, but today I get this 383 error.Could you help me, please?

I was able to use MBAM once right after installation, but today the same 383 error is displayed. BTW, I don't use the registered version. I will now try the Microsoft fix suggested by noknojon. Michael Robertson Posted January 17, 2010 Author ID:185165 Share Posted January 17, 2010 I uninstalled MBAM using Revo and booted. Then ran the MBAM uninstall tool and booted. Re-installed MBAM. Downloaded the Microsoft VB fix and installed. MBAM now loads without any errors. Thanks to noknojon and exile360.
