a follow up question for a strange issue

Recommended Posts

I recently got rid of (I think) some malware on my machine. As I was thrilled with my log which showed removal of some bad stuff (stuff the McAfee and Adaware missed, I might add), I thought I would go read my local paper (www.tallahassee.com). Well, I couldn't get onto it.

So I thought I'd go to my regular homepage, and read the national news (www.comcast.net). Couldn't get on it, either. I can go to any other web page, though. Just not these two. Out of curiosity, I called to make sure these pages were up. Apparently, anyone else can access these pages. I'm pretty sure think this problem was happening yesterday, too, BEFORE I installed Malware Bytes..

Could some kind of malware recognized that these are my most frequently visited pages, and blocked them? How do I fix this? Is it a problem on my providers side, or something like that?
