Malwarebytes Anti-Malware - error loading database

I freshly downloaded version 1.34, and when starting the program I got this message: " error loading database - Line: #0. (0). "

I un-installed, checked C-drive for any remnants, and when there was nothing in the c-drive, I re-downloaded, and installed the program again, and got the same warning when attempting to start the program.

So, HELP!! ??

Greetings and welcome to the forum.

To start, please uninstall Malwarebytes' again (sorry, I know you did this already, but it should help), then reboot your system and run this tool: mbam-clean.exe then reboot once more and re-download the program itself from one of the following locations:

Download.com

MajorGeeks

SecurityWonks

GT500.org

and reinstall it. See if it works once you do.

Let me know how it goes. Thanks :D

I followed your instructions, as per above, and the same problem re-appeared when I attempted to open and run the program - simply won't let me play the game! What's wrong?

  • Root Admin

Please try the following.

Click on START - RUN and copy / paste the following entry into the box and click OK

CMD /C ECHO Y|CHKDSK C: /F | SHUTDOWN /R /T 30

STEP 03

    Download and install CCleaner
  • CCleaner
  • Double-click on the downloaded file "ccsetup217.exe" and install the application.
  • Keep the default installation folder "C:\Program Files\CCleaner"
  • Uncheck "Add CCleaner Yahoo! Toolbar and use CCleaner from your browser"
  • Click finish when done and close ALL PROGRAMS
  • Start the CCleaner program.
  • Click on Registry and Uncheck Registry Integrity so that it does not run (basically the very top, uncheck it)
  • Click on Options - Advanced and Uncheck "Only delete files in Windows Temp folders older than 48 hours"
  • Click back to Cleaner and under SYSTEM uncheck the Memory Dumps and Windows Log Files
  • Click on Run Cleaner button on the bottom right side of the program.
