  1. Jurgen, thank you for taking your time to reply. I think I have it fixed for now. If not I will try here again.
  2. Unfortunately I let in this malware from a download site. Ran MWB still have the problem. Running Windows 10 and using Chrome. Thanks Addition.txt FRST.txt
  3. Thanks for the quick reply. Didn't know what was best. I'll give it a try. Thanks for your direction. Steve in NC
  4. Got this from a download site. I ran MWB today. Removed a lot of PUP stuff but it's still there. I'm sure there is a fix here. I want to get the best answer - but I can't find it on the forums. A bit of help would be appreciated.
  5. Fwiw I ran Eset again this time with AVG off. No threats was the result. No option for a log file. See screen shot attached. EsetScanNoThreats042512.doc
  6. Forgot to include this from AVG history ------ See attachment also "4/25/2012, 11:09:09 AM";"NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM";"General";"AVG is starting." "4/25/2012, 11:09:11 AM";"NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM";"General";"AVG is running." "4/25/2012, 11:11:49 AM";"NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM";"Update";"Update was started." "4/25/2012, 11:13:59 AM";"NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM";"Update";"Update completed." "4/25/2012, 11:51:45 AM";"NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM";"IDP";"Process rundll32.exe was detected." "4/25/2012, 11:51:55 AM";"NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM";"IDP";"Process rundll32.exe was added to the allowed list." AVG Resident Shield shows Eset.txt
  7. I ran the eset as you said. The txt is attached. While running the eset --- the new version of AVG I downloaded was running too. Was not sure if it was to be off. You did not specify. At the 88% progress bar on eset 2 infected files showed up --- also at that moment the AVG popped open with a threat too. I closed the AVG --- the eset completed also. I looked at the AVG history / file for a record. It is attached too. It is in the vault. I can delete / empty the vault to get rid of it I believe ? If I need to run eset with AVG off again I can do so if it is best. EsetScan042512.txt AVG Scan 042512.doc
  8. MWB log attached...after last fix mbam-log-2012-04-25 (13-06-03).txt
  9. Upon the last post I figured I better see if things have been corrected ? Sure enough.....all fixi now on FF, IE and Opera. I'll remove and update as you suggested. Thanks a lot ! Steve in North Carolina
  10. It did run. Attached is the log. ComboFix.txt
  11. Yes. However I'm not getting email notifications when there is an update. Helper response s great. Possibly my isp is not allowing notifications @triad.rr.com - Road Runner. I'll switch to @gmail and see if they come through.
  12. I've reviewed your instructions and I have them in place as far as I can tell. I have not received a notification yet from my helper. I just check back periodically. You can have a look and let me know if I need to change anything ? Thanks a lot.
  13. I saved the CFScript.txt as instructed to C: drive. I then placed the file on the desktop where the ComboFix.exe is. I dragged the CFScript.txt into the ComboFix and did "Run". It started to run - got to the C; scan and a dialog box appeared and said "Were you trying to run CFScript ? The name CFScript appears to be incorrectly spelt ? I checked C: just to check if the ComboFix.txt was still there or if by chance a new text file was created. The CFScript.txt was there but the ComboFix.txt was missing. I replaced it with the ComboFix.txt file on the above post. I re-tried this all again.....same results. I also replaced again the original ComboFix.txt to C drive - it is there now. Both files are attached for reference. Please advise. CFScript.txt ComboFix.txt
