That won't run at all - every time I try it Windws Explorer freezes, and ComboFix won't run past the initial box with the scrolling green writing. At the moment I have a whited out screen, and I have to force close the whole laptop. If I try to restart it from pressing Ctrl+Alt+Del, it freezes on the logging off screen.

The box wasn't checked. I have a proxy installed on Firefox, but its not usually active and all my browsing (inc trying to download) is done on IE.

HI - I suspect I have a malware infection. Was browsing the web when my network adaptor switched off and took two system restarts to re-initialise. Went to download Malwarebytes scan software, but now getting the message that the file "contained a virus and was deleted". Tried to download and install DDS as per the forum instructions, but also couldn't access this. Please advise. Thank you.
