  1. Hi and thank you for your reply. The only notifications, Scans, Scan Results and Database Updates were already unchecked and the phone has been rebooted numerous times since I installed MBAM. However, since the splash is more of a pest than a problem, I think I'll just live with it. Thanks once again to yourself and daledoc1 for your inputs.
  2. i hope that the following info is that which you require: App version: 2.00. 3. 9000 Malware DB Version: 201(6.01.29.01 Malicious URL DB Version: 2016.01.30.02 Phone Carrier: Vodafone Phone Brand and Model: Vodaphone Smart Ultra 6 Android System: v5.1(Lollipop) Rooted: Don't know Other Security: None came with the phone but MBAM (free) now installed
  3. Installed MBAM this morning but keep getting this splash each time the phone is switched on. Can't find how to remove it in settings so can anyone help please?
  4. Thank you dale doc. Yes, I did have a look through settings but couldn't see any reference to removing the splash from the screen. Will look again before acting on your advice. Meantime, thank you for your quick reply.
  5. Installed MBAM on my wife's mobile phone earlier but every time she switches on the phone a banner " Malwarebytesantimalware crushes malware" or words to that effect appears on the screen. How can she get rid of it please?
  6. Thank you Maurice for everything you've done. I did start on the Avast programme this morning but totally panicked when I read that a misspelling in an exclusion, could damage the computer. My wife would kill me if I lost her works documents. So for the time being I will give it a rest and give you guys a break too. Edit:What does this mean Maurice? "and to answer 1 question, no, I do not kid".
  7. I keyed in my reply in roughly the same way as yours appeared. Thank you for sorting it out.
  8. Laid out my previous reply in separate paragraphs and when it appeared all jumbled together, edited to separate the paras again. It didn't work!

  10. Hi Maurice well done and thank you. What I find really amazing is that yesterday I decided to clear the browsing history on my wife's computer for the first time ever. And I was just going to check the non-use dates you provided when I remembered. However, I accept your information as factual and will up the interval to 7 days as you suggest. In addition I will attempt to carry out the procedures suggested in your previous post. I am fairly sure that I did get help to add exclusions to my old computer, so will eventually get there. Thank you yet again.
  11. Hi Maurice. 1. The laptop is usually on for an hour or so sometime between 5.30 and 7.30 pm on weekdays and for an hour or two between 11am and 7.30pm at the weekends. 2. You are correct. There was no 'Out of Date' message. 3. Avast Internet Security.
  12. Hi again daledoc. Two things. 1. The only trouble my wife has accessing the net is the length of time it take Chrome to load and 2. Are you talking about an updated set of the logs I have already submitted?
  13. Hi again gonzo. Have just switched the laptop on and the first thing that appears, even before the welcome screen, is a colourful background with the correct time and date in very large letters and numerals. Then, when I fill in the password and the desktop appears, the correct date and time are shown in the bottom right hand corner of the screen. Connecting to the Internet makes no difference, the time and date are still correct.
