lsass.exe Bad Image..........................error on reboot

Recommended Posts

Greetings.

I was making progress repairing a non-booting system and was finishing up by running Malwarebytes, in order to slean things up. It detected numerous problems(trojan vundo, adware, etc.) and I selected to delete them all. MB couldn't delete all without a reboot, and so I proceeded. The machine wouldn't reboot and I got a BSOD in safe mode and regular mode. I tried "last known good configuration" and got to the point where the following error was displayed - lsass.exe Bad Image ......The application or dll c:/windows/system32/fikitiku.dll is not a valid image. Please check this against your installation diskette.

I've got valuable data on this drive, so I you have any ideas on a repair that wouldn't make the condition of the drive worse, I'd be very interested in trying them out .

Thanks alot.

Craig K
