  1. Hello again, I've just gone through the last steps you gave me and cleaned everything up. I'm glad to say my google chrome is still staying open after the cleanup which is a good sign i think! I haven't reinstalled Java and don't plan on doing so in the foreseeable future. I really appreciate the help you have given me and I will look into getting malwarebytes PRO! Please do go ahead and close this thread. I will let you know if any issues arise in the next couple of days (hope not!) Again, thanks very much! -Marcos
  2. Well, the only sign I had was google chrome closing immediately after opening and then a payment being setup on my bank account. Google chrome now stays open. I haven't used my pc to login anywhere where my bank account or card details are on. Quick question: Is it ok for me to install Java again at this stage? Last time I used some of the same applications, chrome stayed open, however, as soon as I cleaned it all up, it went back to how it was. I guess until I remove all these programs I'm not sure whether there is still something left. What do you suggest? Thanks for your time.

  4. Hello there, I've ran TDSSKiller as requested and followed video instructions. There were no threats found. I still ran the second scan as per the video and again no threats found. Logs attached. Thanks. TDSSKiller.3.0.0.33_26.04.2014_10.14.32_log.txt TDSSKiller.3.0.0.33_26.04.2014_10.16.39_log.txt TDSSKiller.3.0.0.33_26.04.2014_10.19.19_log.txt
  5. Now with files attached. Sorry. JavaRa.log Fixlog.txt
  6. I've done the latest steps and attached both logs as requested. For info, after running the 'Fix' on FRST it did not reboot and generated the fixlog within seconds. Thanks for your time.
  7. FRST scan and Addition logs attached as requested. Thanks. Addition.txt FRST.txt
  8. For info, I've just tried opening Google Chrome and it has stayed open this time.
  9. ComboFix report file attached. Thank you. ComboFix.txt
  10. I left malwarebytes overnight and it finished after 3.30h. Therefore, I have continued to the next steps and ran eset and FRST. Logs for the above are attached. Do you want me to run combofix anyway or skip that step since malwarebytes finished its scan? Thank you. Addition.txt eset scan.txt FRST.txt malwarebytes scan 2.txt
  11. Still 'scanning' an hour after. Definitely not working.
  12. Hello Ron, Thanks for those. I've reached STEP 6 but malwarebytes' scan doesn't seem to want to end, ever. It reaches the Heuristic analysis, the 'objects scanned' are stopped and the scanner progress bar keeps rolling with blue/grey. It has '0' 'Detected Objects'. I have closed it and tried again to no avail. I have also closed it, rebooted and tried again to no avail. Shall I uninstall it and install/run again? Logs for the previous steps are attached. I will continue to the next steps once I can get some advice on how to proceed with malwarebytes. Many thanks. 13. Hello there, I've gone through the steps again with the correct version of malwarebytes. Please find all logs attached. Many thanks for your time. -Marcos malwarebytes scan.txt Rkill.txt RKreport0_S_04242014_172053.txt
  14. Hello again, I was able to go through all the steps in the order you listed and have attached the Rkill, RKreport=rogue killer and malware bytes .txt files. One thing to note is that my version of malwarebytes (v2.0.1.1004) doesn't have the 'Scanner Settings' bit and those options. Instead it has a "Detection and Protection" tab within settings with a PUP option of: Ignore detections, warn user about detections or treat detections as malware. I left it as it was on the 'warn user about detections' options and carried on to the regular 'threat scan'. I will continue to check this topic daily for further instructions. Thank you. malwarebytes scan.txt Rkill.txt RKreport0_S_04232014_203245.txt
  15. Many thanks for your reply. Apologies for my late reply but I have been on holidays for the past few days. I will endeavour to go through these steps as soon as possible! It might take a couple of days because of work. Thanks again for your time. I will post back soon!
