malicious web blocking

I can't seem to connect to certain websites when malicious web protection is enabled. Through trial and error i have determined it is usually websites with verified identities. If i disable the protection and visit the site i can gain access after i re-enable it. Any suggestions? For example i couldn't connect to Tdbank.com, capitalone.com, and yahoo.com.

Been trying to help a friend who couldn't gain access to the internet with his 3 Connect dongle connected to his Acer Aspire 5542 laptop running Windows 8.1.. I wiped the laptop and re-installed everything from scratch to no avail, until that is I disabled the Malicious Website Protection in Malwarebytes Premium 2.0.1.1004.  Hey presto full web resumed.  However as soon as Malicious Website Protection is re-enabled not a single web page can be accessed.

If the dongle is removed and an Ethernet cable is plugged into the laptop there are no web access issues with Malicious Website Protection enabled.

Presumably there is some incompatibility with using a 3 Connect dongle.

Any thought or similar experiences, possibly workarounds please ?

If you are not a member of Staff or Experts group please do not reply to other users posts in either the File or Web Blocking forums.

A more apropos sub-forum for your query would be; Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Help

Thank you for understanding.
